Eyecon is a handy caller ID app that allows you to see names and photos of callers before answering the phone. The app was cleverly designed by Eyecon Phone Dialer Contacts to connect with social platforms to aggregate phone number data in order to supplement the caller ID network. What's even more interesting is that it also gathers user photos from the associated social profiles to display the caller's face alongside their name.

How It Works

Eyecon is a bit of a revolutionary service that seeks to eliminate receiving calls that display no information about the person who is phoning. The app quite literally syncs with popular social networks to attach an identity when possible to unknown callers so that you are always informed about who is trying to contact you.

The caller ID technology included with Eyecon ensures that you're safe from spam and others who might be calling with ill intent. The app even organizes all of your social app contacts into one virtual phonebook that is complete with detailed information and photos. Keep in mind that in order to obtain full functionality from Eyecon, you must select it as your default app for making and receiving phone calls. Permissions must also be granted to Eyecon for it to work correctly.

At first, your phone number will be validated with the app and you'll get a chance to create your profile. Initially, the phonebook data in Eyecon will look quite similar to your existing phonebook app in terms of data population, but once the app syncs with social media, there will be a lot more information available. As the app is syncing with social media, you might notice slow or laggy performance. Surprisingly enough, the performance snags seem to be relative to your internet speed.

Revolutionary Caller ID App with Lots of Promise

If you're looking for a new approach to a mobile phonebook, Eyecon is definitely worth a try. You can customize the appearance of your phonebook and even how your data is presented to others being contacted by you. The only real downside to Eyecon is its noticeably laggy performance whenever data is being sourced from the internet.
